Take Time to Learn Currency Trading

Investing in yourself and your education is always a wise decision. Investing in learning Forex trading could be one of the wisest decisions you ever made. People from every country on the globe are entering the markets daily and many of them are becoming wealthy because of it. The first step towards creating wealth for yourself is to learn currency trading from its fundamental theories to its sophisticated investing strategies.

After you have completed that process, you now have the world at your finger tips just waiting for you to reach out and grab it. Don't let the people who tell you can't make money in Forex fool you. In fact, the odds are all in your favor. Where else do you have 50% chance of making money in something even if you no nothing about what you doing? Nowhere else is the answer! Really, how much better odds to you want?

If you know nothing and play a child's game called "Ani, mine, miny, moe" to select a currency to buy, you have a 50% chance of picking a winning investment. A currency can only go in one of two ways, up or down.

Trading on margin

trading on margin gives you more buying power and the potential for more profits (and losses). How does this work, exactly? A 1% margin account allows you to control a currency lot of $100,000 for $1,000. When dealing with $100,000 small changes in the price of the currency can result in large profits or losses.

FOREX currencies are traded in much smaller units than cash. The American dollar, for example, is traded in units down to 4 decimal places. Instead of $1.32 FOREX quotes are seen as $1.3256. The smallest unit in FOREX currencies is called the pip, and when you have a $100,000 each pip of your total lot is worth $10 (when trading American dollars).

If the price of American dollars changes from 1.3256 to 1.3356, that's a difference of 100 pips which represents a profit or loss of $1000. Without margin, if you had $1000 of currency, the price change from 1.3256 to 1.3356 represents a difference of $10. Significant to the tourist, perhaps, but not the investor.

So the benefit of margin is increased profit potential.

Risks

As there is increased profit potential, there is also increased loss potential. If you are not careful, your entire margin account could quickly be wiped out. If your margin account is 1% and the currency moves just one cent against you, you lose $1000.

FOREX trading, however, has several methods to limit loss. Stop loss orders automatically close your position if the value of the currency crosses a pre-determined point. Stop loss orders allow you to limit your losses to a specified amount while still allowing potential profit taking.

Scalping The Forex Market

Some even pronounced it wrongly, and if you don't understand the meaning now, you can not benefit from the mega returns that the strategy is generating in the world's largest financial market.
Scalping is a focused technique that involves making a minuscule trade to generate profit within a short period of time. This method of trading the FX market is of high probability trades with extremely small risk stops and predefined profit objectives, it is also a means of taking a million trades to make a million dollars.

Key Facts you Need to Know

Forex scalping and day trading is more popular than ever and is the choice of most new forex traders but is it the right one and how do you enjoy forex scalping success – let's find out.

1. Short Term Volatility is Random

Millions of forex traders trade trillions of dollars in currency each day and to say that you can measure what this diverse number of traders will do in a few hours, or a day is laughable you can't.

2. Support and Resistance Levels are Meaningless

To trade any market you need to have valid levels of support or resistance to key off however with all volatility being random in short term trading, prices can and do go anywhere and support and resistance cannot be used - as the data simply isn't valid.

Registered Institutions

In the United States, forex brokers should be registered as a Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) http://www.cftc.gov. They should also be a member of the National Futures Association.

You can verify the brokers CFTC registration and NFA membership status at http://www.nfa.futures.org/basicnet/. If the broker is not backed up by a reliable institution, don't bother with them it's not worth the risk.

Stock Exposure

In the instance where you cannot get a referral or recommendation, it is up to you to do your own thorough and careful research. You should find out the amount of trades they are conducting and with how many clients. Of course you should also find out the Forex broker's amount of experience. The most important thing to look for in your own research is a Forex broker who has learned by experience over several years and has the right amount of instinct to give the right advice. Of course you should also examine what kind of services and what variety they provide, such as mini accounts, market intelligence, market analysis, news feeds and real time quotes.
When deciding if you would like to use a broker or not, you need to take all advantages as well as disadvantages into consideration. This is a personal decision, one in which referrals and recommendations are highly recommended when looking, or at the very least extensive research on your part. Choosing the right Forex broker, in the end, can make the difference between success and failure in the Forex market.

Foreign investing

Foreign investing is considered by many investors as a way to either diversify an investment portfolio or seek a larger return on investment(s) in an economy believed to be growing at a faster pace than investment(s) in the respective domestic economy. Investing in foreign stocks automatically exposes the investor to foreign exchange rate risk and speculative risk. For example, an investor buys a particular amount of foreign currency (in exchange for domestic currency) in order to purchase shares of a foreign stock.

The investor is now automatically exposed to two separate risks. First, the stock price may go either up or down and the investor is exposed to the speculative stock price risk. Second, the investor is exposed to foreign exchange rate risk because the foreign exchange rate may either appreciate or depreciate from the time the investor first purchased the foreign stock and the time the investor decides to exit the position and repatriates the currency (exchanges the foreign currency back to domestic currency).

The Rising Euros :

The Euro extended its rally against the dollar to another record high after poor jobs data and a repeat performance by the Feds Bernanke, who did little to offer any support to the dollar. The Euro gained a full 1 per cent against the greenback to hit an all time high of $1.5231. This is the third straight session in which the Euro has gained to record highs.

We have seen good data posted by Germany this morning as Retail Sales rose higher than expected in January. Retail sales rose 1.6% on the month. Be aware today, as its Friday under after the rise of the Euro, it may be under some pressure from the dollar and yen as a bit of profit taking may come into play before the weekend.

Competitive trading conditions:

The most competitive trading conditions:

* 2 pips spread on six currency pairs.
* Providing online trading services without maintenance margin, margin call and no automatic closing of positions below the initial margin on weekdays for accounts with initial equity of up to $1 million US. The margin level have to be recognized Fridays at 23:00 CET and before public holidays.
* Leverages up to 1:200 for accounts up to $1 million US.
* Liquidity and 24/5 availability are the characteristic factors of the Forex market compared with other financial markets.

Heavy Losses For The Dollar

The dollar plummeted to record lows and shares tumbled yesterday after Ben Bernanke, the Fed Chairman, spooked markets with a prediction of US bank failures and fresh warnings over a grim outlook for America’s economy.

In its third day of heavy losses, the embattled dollar slumped across the board on foreign exchanges after Mr Bernanke gave what economist said was a “green light” to markets to step up their assault on the US dollar.

The Fed Chairman did offer some positive comments , that most banks will bounce back from their mortgage troubles, that inflation should ease and that the US is nowhere near the stagflation scenario of the 1970’s. At present it doesn’t seem that those comments will be enough to halt the dollars slide. The dollar lost over 1 per cent against the Euro as it hit $1.5231, against the pound the dollar fell half a percent to hit $1.99.

Buying Euros is Now High Recorded

The euro hit record highs against the dollar yesterday as the $1.51 level was breached in afternoon trade.

This was on the back of the US Fed’s Chairman indicated more interest rates cuts were on their way in the US. The euro climbed as high as $1.5143 after comments named worries on economic growth outweighed inflation concerns.

Also, investors are getting a sense from European Central Bank officials that they don’t mind a stronger euro and may be encouraging it in the face of higher inflation rates. The single currency also gained over 1 per cent against sterling as the 0.76 level was breached, currently trading at 0.7621.

Get Trained

Many people, especially novices to the trading world, get into Forex trading with the belief that some day or other they are bound to reap rich profits! They treat the foreign exchange market as they would treat a gambling den! With no previous knowledge about the venture, these traders or investors are ready to listen to anyone and everyone--the end-result is loss after loss! It would therefore be advisable for such people to take some Forex trading training.

Yes, like any other market, the foreign exchange market is also a risky one. Even hardy professionals cannot guarantee absolute success! They have seen for themselves that at least 50% or more traders or investors have incurred heavy losses in this arena. There are even studies to support this fact. Once again, it is lack of knowledge and lack of clear-cut strategies that are responsible for this unfortunate scenario.

Avoiding Major Pitfalls

You’ve started a business and now you need to start acquiring items for that business, everything from inventory to the office supplies. Plastic in hand, you run full steam ahead toward – debt! Instead of making your dream of profit come true, you are watching said profit going out the door to pay your credit card payments that include high interest. One day, thousands of dollars down the road, you may suddenly turn around and ask yourself what happened.

Of course, simply having a business credit card is not a bad thing. It’s the type of card you end up with that counts, and the costs associated with it. Do your homework. Look into the various types of credit card products out there. Look for ones that have low APR’s (Annual Percentage Rates), low or no annual fees, and always pay very close attention to late fees and other penalties. Last look for a card that suits your business in terms of what you want to gain from it, like points for travel, rebates on products or supplies, and other benefits that have real value to you and your business.

take a look at the market

We have trillions of dollars traded daily, by millions of different traders and to say that you can say what this vast mass of traders is going to do in such a short time frame, as a few hours is laughable.

Fact:

All short term volatility is random.

This means that prices can and do go anywhere in a day – support and resistance levels are not valid, so it doesn’t matter how good your technical indicators are they will fail in this random environment.

I have seen successful track records though!

Sure you have – and their sold by vendors with a vested interest.

There are loads of them and they are all designed to bring forex scalping to beginners - for a few hundred bucks you get rich, sure you do.

When to EXIT a Trade?

The best time to exit a trade is when the price crosses back down through all 3 EMA’s on the chart. Notice in the above example that the Dark Blue line—the actual price of USD/CHF on the 20th crossed back down all three indicators where I circled EXIT. If you held this position all week, you could have made a 275 pip profit.

With 1 lot traded on a standard account this would have been approximately $1780.00 in profits. With 2 lots--$3560! A mini account would have profited you $178 and $356 respectively.
If you profited 275 pips with EUR/USD or GBP/USD you would have made approximately $10 per pip, which you would have made $2750 with one lot and $5500 with 2 lots traded. Not bad for one week!
